Silver Creek's music started in 1978 at Holden Village in the Cascade Mountains near Chelan, WA. The music continued at St Olaf College in Northfield, MN. Silver Creek went on to play the college scene and to play many times at the iconic Lions Pause. Their music was featured on two live recordings from the Lion's Pause as well as record a studio session of their own. Silver Creek took their name from a small town in Minnesota.
At the Lion's Pause Silver Creek found a warm, welcoming community of music lovers. Warm guitars, tight harmony, and celebrating great music inspired us to sing then - and it continues to this day!
The 1960s and 1970s were rich with great music. We were inspired by the artists of our time such as Cat Stevens, Neil Young and Jackson Browne.
